BOOK UPDATE:
[Numero]

I am currently reading...
Jane Eyre- Charlotte Bronte
Smashed: Story of a Drunken Girlhood- Koren Zailckas
Fast Food Nation- Eric Schlosser

Recently Finished...
(1) Invisible- Paul Auster
(2) The Brooklyn Follies- Paul Auster
(3) The Time Traveler's Wife

Paul Auster is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. His writing is beautiful, but real. I read Invisible first and immediately fell in love. The Brooklyn Follies surprised me by surpassing the first. I can't wait to read more of his novels.
On the contrary, I found The Time Traveler's Wife underwhelming. It didn't live up to the hype I have heard from others. Extremely long, it did keep my interest. But, I was not moved by the novel nor did I take away anything more than a few shed tears. A good beach read possibly, but I would rather spend my time on a book that has more of an effect.

Enjoy your New Year's Parties & survive the headache in the morning (know I will be suffering right along with you)!

Winter Sparkle

~~~~~~~
My friend invited me to spend a few days in a Poconos cabin. The snow was beautiful and there was perfect snowboarding weather.
The view from the window early one morning.
Even a few deer passed by. They aren't nearly as shy as those in Jersey.
The fire I stocked up in the midst of a freezing night.
~~~~~~~
All I can think of are these beautiful, glamorous dresses in this
kind of weather. Perfect for the many parties of the season.

These shoes cannot be more perfect:

Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas! Well, almost. Enjoy the family time and smell of the tree on your Christmas. Currently loving anything & everything absolutely glamorous. I know I'll be spending my break in my father's sweaters watching Breakfast at Tiffany's with billions of magazines. Or homework.
Snuggle up with these coyuchi striped wool blankets. I could fall asleep looking at them.

Cozy On Up

[unknown source]
~~~~~~~
There is nothing more wonderful than books. My favorite thing in the world is to either spend my day in the library or cozy up and dive into another book. It is the perfect season to pick up good reads and enjoy them thoroughly.
A few books I'm reading currently or have read-
  • The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
  • Invisible - Paul Auster
  • Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
  • A Certain Slant of Light - Laura Whitcomb
But certainly reading books are only one of their values. Books are the best accessories to any room. Your personal library can show your personality as much as your closet can. Displaying books takes space, but is well worth the shelf space. Here a few glamorous views of books in different homes that I am in love with. (Sorry for the unknown sources- I saved these a while ago to my computer!!)
